GROUPS FOR COACHING AND SUPERVISION
A possibility for analysis/reflection at the Sigmund-Freud-Institute Frankfurt for coaches, managers and freelancer
A circle of quality for coaches, psychotherapists, scientists, managers and freelancers
This ongoing coaching group is designed for managers and professionals, but it is also directed towards coaches, supervisors and internal or external consultants of organisations. Young or old entrepreneurs and freelancer are also welcome to join our coaching group. We want to provide a space for thought, in which the own professional practice, the advisory activity or the status quo of the personal self-employment can be reflected on. In this context, the psychodynamic-systemic competences of the specific role can be developed further. It is a matter of deeply understanding the psychodynamics within organisations from the perspective of a consultant. As a result of reflecting unconscious aspects of the dynamics of the organisation, interventions can be exerted more accurately and decisions can be made more profoundly. The focus lies on the more or less conscious interaction of people, roles, the team and the structure of everyday professional situations of the participants.
Once in a month a group of 5 to 8 people from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. allows space for topical issues and questions regarding your current professional situation. Individual cases, scenes, projects or transformational processes will be reflected on and arising questions will be discussed in the group. This group works according to a concrete structure which allows to develop a psychodynamic-systemic understanding of the material that is addressed. A working hypothesis will be formed in order to support those who present their topic with ideas and a new alignment. However, it is not necessary to present own material every time the group comes together. Working on others‘ questions and cases also open up insights and stimulations for the own advisory activity.
Besides working on specific situations of practical experience, the group is additionally understood as a field of experiment for methods of research and consulting. This work is complemented with an introductory panel for discussion where everyday experiences in the context of the organisation as well as from the point of view of a collective analysis (of the processes of reflection) are approached at the end of the meeting. This offer for supervision also serves the development and deepening of the own psychodynamic-systemic competences in the field of management and consulting (circle of quality for consulting e.g. as a supervisor or coach). At the same time we understand the group as a “potential space“, in which new ideas and perspectives for the own professional identity can be developed.
